Actress Sofía Vergara strolls the River Walk recently with director Jaime Segura of Hispano USA, shooting a segment for Univision's Despierta America segment, "Las Estrellas en la Cocina".

Hispano USA and the folks over at Maverick were shooting down on the River Walk today, and I captured this pic of an oldie but goodie O'Connor fluid head on real wood sticks. Nice.

San Antonio Filmmakers on East/West Coast in July

San Antonio filmmakers Mickey and Gibby Cevallos will have a prime Friday night screening of their feature film "The Bookie", in NYC on July 31st as part of the New York International Latino Film Festival.

And short filmmaker Sam Lerma, also of San Antonio, screens his latest, a dry, comical look at love, trash, and the men who collect it, called "Trash Day", at the Los Angeles Shorts Fest. His screening is on Thursday, July 30th.
