Students at Sundance - with hats!
Congratulations to the students of The Film School of San Antonio at Harlandale High School, and the NESA Cinema students who have been invited to attend the Sundance Film Festival again this year. We have a few special "tuques" (pronounced "tukes" - hey, I grew up in the bitter winters of the Manitoba plains) or winter caps for these inspired filmmakers. Here's to keeping our heads warm!

A Tradition Begins
What a wonderful way to end 2008, and thanks again to our good friends at Sunset Station for helping us have a great reception. And a new tradition started was the Audience Award for the SA48HR Film Experience. This great plaque with a still from RIO BRAVO, featuring one of the all-time audience favorites, Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez (San Antonio's own). Pedro moved to Hollywood in the early 1950's and made dozens of films over the years. This award will be passed from award winner to award winner each year...see you in 2009.
