"Stop Loss" trailer now online

Kimberly Peirce's newest film, "Stop Loss", now has a trailer online. This feature filmed in San Antonio at what is now Port San Antonio, but was previously, Kelly Air Force base. You can see two quick scenes that were filmed there in the trailer. They transformed the former base back to an active military facility, and from the little bit we can see in the trailer, it looks great. Thanks to the great support from the leadership at Port San Antonio for working so well with this hi-profile project, and thanks to then City Council member Richard Perez for his support as well.

View the trailer.

R.I.P Robert Allen Chambers

San Antonio's own Robert Chambers was laid to rest Friday, after a long battle with cancer. (see his Caring Bridge website)

I first met Robert back in 2004 when I was working for GEAR in Austin. I knew right away he was important - everyone on the first set I visited, said, "You need to meet Robert..." and "have you met Robert yet?". So I did, and we saw each other on sets from then on. He would greet me with a quick hello and a confident handshake.

Robert, we will miss you.
