48 Hour Film - Here's What We've Come Up With

The story is entitled "Divine Intervention", and is set in the not-to-distant future.

Water is the most valuable resource now, and is in short supply in drought-stricken Texas. Our main character, Lucas Springwater, is Cherokee, and is a diviner - he finds water. But in a world that is so dependent on this fleeting resource, con artists and water locating rackets are all too plentiful. Lucas falls victim to the notorious Texas Drought Commission, and is called in and labeled a phony. He has just one day to prove himself.

Can he truly find water with nothing more than a divining rod and the natural gift of finding water?

He doesn't understand it. He just has to believe.
